Major Arcana
The Magician
The maker
Upright meaning
You already hold every tool you need. This card says the timing is right and the only missing piece is the decision to start.
Reversed meaning
Wasted potential, or ability turned to manipulation. It warns of promises with nothing behind them.
What is in the picture
The infinity sign floats above his head; a snake swallowing its own tail circles his waist. One hand lifts a wand to the sky, the other points to the ground — as above, so below. On the table lie all four suits: wand, cup, sword, pentacle. Nothing is missing. Red roses and white lilies grow around him: desire and clarity, and he needs both.
Love
Strong magnetism and the power to actively create the relationship you want.
Career
A good moment to launch something or pitch an idea. You are more persuasive than you think.
One thing you can do
List the three things you are waiting for before you start. For each, ask whether it is a real prerequisite or a comfortable excuse. Usually only one of the three is real.
Is The Magician a yes or a no?
Yes. One of the most decisive cards in the deck — provided you are the one acting, not the one waiting.
Beside another card
A card changes meaning according to what sits next to it. These are the two most common pairings — tap through to read the other card.
