Major Arcana
The High Priestess
The inner voice
Upright meaning
The answer is inside rather than in anyone else's advice. Go quiet and listen to what you have known for a while.
Reversed meaning
Ignoring your own instinct, or information being kept from you. Disconnection from yourself.
What is in the picture
She sits between two pillars: black marked B, white marked J — the two ends of everything. Behind her hangs a veil of pomegranates, hiding whatever the card refuses to show you. The scroll on her lap is half tucked inside her robe. A crescent moon rests at her feet. The whole card is about what is already present but has not been said.
Love
Something is going unsaid. Do not force it; let time make it clear.
Career
Not yet the moment to announce anything. Watch and gather more.
One thing you can do
Before you ask one more person, take ten minutes without your phone and answer it yourself first. What you write in those ten minutes is usually better than the fifth opinion.
Is The High Priestess a yes or a no?
Not clear yet — and the card suspects you already know it is not. Something has not surfaced. Do not settle this today.
Beside another card
A card changes meaning according to what sits next to it. These are the two most common pairings — tap through to read the other card.
