Minor Arcana · Wands
Ace of Wands
The spark
Upright meaning
The first spark of an idea or a project. The energy is rising — act while it is still hot.
Reversed meaning
An idea that dies early, no drive, or a start that keeps being deferred.
What is in the picture
A hand reaches out of a cloud holding a wand that is still sprouting leaves. A few leaves have already fallen — this is living wood, not a stick. A castle sits on a hill in the distance, a river below it. The hand offers; it does not push. The opportunity is held out, and somebody has to walk over and take it.
Love
Immediate, powerful attraction.
Career
A promising new opening. Start now.
About this suit
Wands are about action, drive and work. This is initiating energy — ideas, momentum, and the nerve to begin.
One thing you can do
Within the next forty-eight hours, do the smallest possible thing that makes the idea exist outside your head — a message, a note, one call.
Is Ace of Wands a yes or a no?
