Minor Arcana · Wands
King of Wands
The vision
Upright meaning
A leader with vision who accepts responsibility. Knows what he wants and takes people there.
Reversed meaning
Domineering, hot-tempered, or promising far more than is delivered.
What is in the picture
He sits half-turned on a throne carved with lions and salamanders, holding a wand that is still in leaf. At the foot of the throne a live salamander bites its own tail, closing the circle — a cycle completed. He is not looking at us; he is already thinking about the next thing.
Love
Someone strong and protective who needs to be respected.
Career
A leadership role. Make the big call.
