The wound
Upright meaning
Pain that comes from truth. It hurts but it is necessary — this cut cleans rather than damages.
Reversed meaning
Recovering, or dragging out the pain longer than it needs.
What is in the picture
A red heart pierced by three swords, hanging in rain and grey cloud. It is one of very few cards in the deck with no human figure at all — nobody to blame, nobody to appeal to. Just the pain in its plainest form, and rain, which stops.

A break-up, a betrayal, or words that wounded.
Career
Bad news or blunt criticism. Use it to correct course.
