Six of Swords

The crossing

transitionmoving onrecoverycalmer water

Upright meaning

Leaving rough water for somewhere calmer. The sadness has not lifted, but the direction is right.

Reversed meaning

Stuck and unable to get out, or carrying the old baggage across.

What is in the picture

A ferryman poles a boat carrying a cloaked woman and a child. Six swords stand upright in the hull — they are bringing them along, not leaving them behind. The water on one side is choppy; ahead it is flat. Nobody in the boat is happy, and the boat is going the right way.

Love

The hard stretch is passing. Things are settling.

Career

A change of job or of place. The move helps.

About this suit

Swords are about thought, truth and conflict. The suit of speech, decisions and what runs through your head — fear included.
