The sixteen types

INTJ

The Strategist

You see systems rather than tasks, and you are usually at step five while everyone else is at step one. You trust logic and are not easily moved by what the majority thinks.

Strengths

  • Rare long-range thinking
  • Independent and a strong self-teacher
  • Spots the hole in an argument
  • Holds to a chosen goal

Watch out for

  • Impatient with people who are slower
  • Shows little, so reads as cold
  • Stubborn when convinced you are right
  • Underweights the human factor in a plan

Work

Strategy, research, systems architecture, investment, data science, senior management.

Relationships

You have few friends and deep ones. A partner needs to understand that your silence is not indifference — say so, rather than leaving them to guess.

Where to grow

Ask for opinions before you decide, not after. Your plans are usually right about the logic and thin on how the people executing them will feel.
