2030 for Giáp Tuất 1994, men: the year four rules all say the same thing

His own year, the last Tam Tai, Kim Lâu, and the star La Hầu — all four land together. Here is why they coincide, and what that actually means.

2030 is Canh Tuất, nạp âm Thoa Xuyến Kim. A man born in 1994 turns 37. It is the year in which the four rules most used in annual readings all come out unfavourable at once.

Plenty of pages will call this a great trial. This one does something else: it shows why those four rules coincide — and why the coincidence is arithmetic rather than an omen.

Four rules, one year

  • His own year: the year's branch matches the birth branch, which is Thái Tuế. Once every twelve years, unavoidable.
  • The third Tam Tai year: the Dog year closes the Monkey–Rooster–Dog run for the Dần – Ngọ – Tuất trine.
  • Kim Lâu: thirty-seven divided by nine leaves one, which is Kim Lâu Thân — the heaviest of the four in the usual ranking.
  • The star La Hầu: thirty-seven lands exactly on it, the star considered hardest for men.

Why they coincide

This is the part nobody writes down, and it is the part most worth knowing.

All four are functions of the same number: age. The sign's own year repeats every twelve. Tam Tai is fixed to the branch, so it repeats every twelve too — and its third year is the sign's own year. Those two are not independent. They are obliged to coincide, always, for every sign.

Kim Lâu runs on a nine-year cycle and La Hầu runs on a nine-year cycle, and both are counted on the same age. They are not independent either: a remainder of one is what makes Kim Lâu Thân, and the first position in the nine-star round is La Hầu. Those two coincide reliably, once every nine years, for a whole lifetime.

Put plainly: these are not four independent sources confirming one conclusion. They are two pairs, each locked together arithmetically. Four bells, two bell ropes.

That does not make them meaningless. It means the alarm should not be multiplied by four simply because there are four names for it.

Fire controlling Metal: gains that cost

The nạp âm of 2030 is Thoa Xuyến Kim — metal already worked into ornament. Sơn Đầu Hỏa controls Metal, and here your own element is the one doing the controlling.

Controlling outward is usually read as prevailing over something at a cost in effort. The image makes it plainer than the table does: fire is what refines gold, and refining is exactly how gold becomes an ornament — but the fire is consumed doing it.

Translated: 2030 is a year in which things get done, and the price is your own reserves. It is a year to set limits in advance rather than afterwards.

The four areas in 2030

Love. Your own year does not damage a relationship, but it is a year in which people make large decisions while exhausted — and that is the real risk. If you find yourself wanting to settle something that has dragged on, separate two questions: do I want this, or have I simply run out?

Work. Fire controlling Metal is the relation where the work gets done and you are what it costs. The year can still produce good results — the price is elsewhere. Set limits before starting, not after burning out.

The household. Kim Lâu Thân is the grade the tradition attaches to the person himself rather than to a wife or children. Strip away the superstition and the reminder still stands: in a year when every rule says slow down, the first thing to put in the calendar is your own sleep and health.

Everyone else. This is the area where all four rules genuinely agree, and they agree about something very specific: do not co-sign, do not guarantee, do not lend your standing. Not because people are bad, but because a year in which you are running down your own reserves is a year in which you have least capacity to carry someone else's.

What to actually do

  • Do not start anything large, do not put your name to someone else's, do not stand as guarantor. This is where all four rules genuinely agree.
  • Do not build and do not marry. If either matters, 2027 was the window and 2031 is the next one.
  • Put sleep and health first. Controlling outward is a draining relationship, and draining is measurable.
  • Treat your own year as a stocktake: this is the third such pause of your life, after 2006 and 2018.

And as with every piece in this series: none of it forecasts an event. The four rules are four ways of counting one number, and what they give you is a structured excuse to slow down for a year — which at thirty-seven, most people will not grant themselves unless somebody hands them a reason.
